How YOU can help at home

Grow a vegetable/fruit garden in your kitchen or backyard.

The meat industry contributes to the release of greenhouse gases into the air such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. It is responsible for 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions, including 9% of carbon dioxide and 37% of methane gas emissions. To produce a kilo of beef, estimates say it takes from 13,000 liters8 up to 100,000 liters9 of water.

02

Spread the word.

According to a Pew Research Center's study, approximately 54% of Americans are uneducated on climate change. 14% say that there is no real evidence that climate change is real, 26% believe that humans are not contributors, and another 14% are unsure if climate change is real. In order to mobilize all Americans in the climate change mission, we must first educate everyone about the causes and severity of it. Do this by posting on social media, tweeting, sharing, liking, petitioning, talking, protesting, and more.

03

Switch to solar power.

Using solar energy to power your house rather than electricity reduces air pollution. Solar energy uses photosynthesis to create electricity. Solar power is a renewable energy source that doesn't emit greenhouse gases or pollutants such as carbon dioxide.
