MEET THE FOUNDER

TONIA CHEN
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
I am a 17 year-old student at Alameda High School who is passionate about public policy and environmental science. I currently intern at my local City Manager's Office, and have worked with many different policies that fight economic inequality. I discovered the issue of drinking water scarcity after living in China for 4 years. I feel so fulfilled seeing so many members of our community come together to provide clean drinking water to those sometimes "forgotten" corners of our world. As I grow older, I hope to continue spreading AguaEmpowers to different countries and enlarge our scope of influence.
