At Alameda Point Collaborative's Youth Education Center, staff report that their students are typically two grade levels behind academically and socially, so it felt very special to see the kid's interest in learning spark as we taught them about water safety and the issue of water contamination around the world. I passed out homemade pamphlets that taught them about the harmful effects of contaminated water, as well as at-home methofs of purifying it, such as boiling and filtering with technology.  ​
